The final week went out with a bang. Child Please absolutely emptied the clip, dropping 130 points to take 1st place for the week, a fitting mic-drop performance after hovering around the middle of the pack most of the season. Right behind them was Ando’s Army with 111 points, a massive late-week showing that proved critical in the final overall standings. Several others cracked triple digits, but those two clearly set the pace when it mattered most.

Season-Long Observations

Consistency beat explosions. Monster weeks were fun to watch, but avoiding disasters was far more valuable over 18 weeks.

The middle of the standings was a knife fight. From 6th through roughly 15th, a single bad week could undo a month of solid picks.

Late surges mattered — but only with a foundation. Child Please won the week, but Ando’s Army paired a surge with season-long stability and cashed.

Nobody won this early. The title was still up for grabs deep into the final weeks, and the final margin proves it.

The stats pages are available. The Ranks page shows were everyone was in the standings each week and how many weeks they spent in the top 20, top 10, top 5 and top 1. Four of the top 5 finishers spent the entire season in the top 20. Three of the top 5 finishers spent 17 of the 18 weeks in the top 10. Baytown Bombers and Wolfpack spent 17 & 16 weeks respectively in the top 5!

And finally… the Ex-Commish Watch: Despite years of “institutional knowledge,” Ex-Commish finished 60th overall, proving once again that running the pool and winning the pool are two very different skill sets. Still managed to climb a few spots late — just enough to remind everyone he was there, not nearly enough to matter.

Semper Fi takes home the title as sole Survivor with a 101-100 victory over Tainto!

Semper Fi cruised in the the H2H championship with a convincing 101-84 victory over You had me at Meat Tornado.

We ended up with four teams making it all the way to the end (if we ignore the week 14 debacle). Congrats to Arrogant Electricians, Hungry Dawgs, The A Team and Yucking!
